How to Set up MFA on your Merchant Portal - OTP Authentication

MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) is an added layer of security that requires users to complete an extra verification step before accessing the Merchant Portal.

By enabling MFA, unauthorized access becomes more difficult. Even if someone has your password, they will not be able to log in or perform sensitive actions without completing additional verification like One-Time Password (OTP).

MFA on Hydrogen Merchant Portal can be set up in two ways:

  1. Via OTP (One-Time Password)
  2. Via an Authenticator App

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to enable OTP Authentication on the Merchant Portal. You can also see How to Set up MFA on your Merchant Portal - Authenticator app – Hydrogen

Step 1: Log In to your Account

a. Open your web browser and go to the dashboard login page - Login to your Hydrogen Account (hydrogenpay.com)

b. Enter your registered email address and password to login to your account.

Step 2: Go to 'Profile & Settings' on the menu bar and click on 'Password & Security'

Step 3: Navigate to the right section of the page and toggle on the 'OTP Verification’ button to enable OTP authentication.

Success! Your OTP Authentication has been enabled on your email address and phone number.

You can now log in to the Merchant Portal and experience the enhanced account security.
